The Programmable Pass Through machine automates the end preparation of pipes for fabrication using a program that makes saddle cuts, offset (hillside) cuts, lateral cuts and mitre cuts. The SE-4PTD rotates a pipe held in its three-jaw chuck while driving a cutting torch back and forth along the pipe axis, so that the torch cuts a contour on one pipe to fit onto another pipe of larger diameter.
